The new operators of Wharncliffe Mill, Claire and Adrian Prendergast, are passionate nature lovers and keen adventure seekers.  Their desire to operate their own little bush camp was sparked whilst managing an Aboriginal owned wilderness camp at Cape Leveque before they had their two children.  Having spent over seven years consulting in eco and Indigenous tourism since then, it was time for them to again roll their sleeves up, and take their long awaited 'tree change'.

When the opportunity arose to take on a long lease in the middle of a National Park, on the edge of the Margaret River town site, Adrian and Claire hooked their mountain bikes onto the back of their bush camper and never looked back!  They were soon joined by Adrian’s parents Brian and Kay who are now part of the management team – making it a real family business!

Together with their young kids, they live on site, and are on a mission to explore ALL of the magnificent mountain bike trails, bush walking tracks, and secret swimming spots along the river, not to mention the awesome range of family friendly wineries and breweries...  All in the name of research…. so they can share this information with their guests of course!

We look forward to welcoming you to Wharncliffe Mill, Margaret River and sharing this little patch of paradise with you.
